Job Details
The Associate Development Director will be to cultivate current and potential financial supporters for the Anne Carlsen Center. This position is responsible for case load of individuals and businesses and must be able to explain the advantages of annual giving, special event participation and planned giving. This position is also responsible for identification of major gift opportunities.

This position will meet the following minimum requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or five years’ experience of demonstrating skills in gift solicitation equivalent is required. A combination of education and gift solicitation experience will be considered as qualification.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Two to three years of previous experience in development, outside sales or financial planning will be beneficial, but not required.
- Understand and have a working knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in meaningful way using: email, donor software, etc.
- Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor, good intuition and able to adapt to continually changing priorities.
- Occasional evenings and weekend work required.
- Ability to travel up to 50-70% with some overnight stay is require; maybe required to travel by airplane to other states within U.S.
- Ability to solve problems independently, prioritize multiple tasks, plan and schedule trips in an efficient manner.
