Job Details

The Manager of Contract Product and Services (CPS) is responsible for managing the preparation, administration and maintenance of all individual and group contract documents, member ID cards and benefit plan database set up for Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND (BCBSND) and its affiliates. This position will oversee the functions within the CPS team to ensure all documentation prepared is accurate and consistent with company policy/language, meets individual and group expectations and is in compliance with the state in which it was issued.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Leads and guides staff in accomplishing work objectives within the unit. Coaches, motivates, rewards and recognizes subordinates. Sets clear goals and objectives, sets performance expectations and holds employees accountable for achieving results.
  • Establishes and maintains business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborates with appropriate business owners to ensure projects and other business solutions are met and represents CPS in corporate projects and committees.
  • Navigates through any political, resource, budgeting or legal issue(s) impacting the success of execution or implementation.
  • Provides a centralized point of expertise and accountability to ensure contractual language and requirements are met and determines the interpretation and use of contract language
  • Oversees the development of written benefit plans, contract documents and other benefit materials maintaining accurate contractual language
  • Ensures all contract language and provision changes are relayed and assigned to appropriate staff to be incorporated into all affected documents and all necessary product updates are implemented.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of benefit plan database language and programming to ensure database is consistent with contract language and claims processing.
  • Demonstrates and maintains an in-depth working knowledge of benefit plan database language and claims processing guidelines.

Required: Bachelor's

Field(s) of Study: Business, Healthcare or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required: Minimum of 5 Years

Preferred: Minimum of 5 Years

Experience Details: Minimum of 5 years of healthcare, insurance, contract administration, benefit plan database or related experience is required, of which 3 years of supervisory/staff leadership experience is required.
