Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop business plans and goals to include staffing needs, tools and equipment, parts inventories, and parts promotion strategies.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators and operational reports and adjust procedures / processes as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Service and Sales departments regarding their needs in order to maximize parts availability.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Interview, select and hire employees for department.
  • Schedule parts team in manner that provides good customer service as well as reasonable work expectations.
  • Monitor, coach and counsel day to day employee performance.
  • Handle employee relations issues, training needs, overtime, vacation schedules, etc
  • Maintain safe, clean, neat and orderly work environment in accordance with safety and contamination control processes
  • Provide documentation as required for personnel issues, accidents, safety matters, customer disputes, etc.
  • Assist in Day to Day activities of parts department.
  • Promote and grow the parts and service business, the market share and promote the vision, mission and values of BMC
  • Additional assigned duties by Operations Manager.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES
  • Organizes, communicates, and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.
  • Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating employees and promoting self-development.
  • Communicates with and coaches employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.
  • Selects, trains and develops employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development .


Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience or leadership training preferred
  • Knowledge of machine technology and industries we represent
  • Preference for operational knowledge of Parts Department practices and procedures normally obtained through 5-7 years of experience in a parts department.
  • Demonstrated ability in customer relations.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other departments
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively handle conflict situations.
  • Good Computer skills
