Service Technician - Small Engine

Areyou an experienced small engine service technician who loves to solve a problemand has never met a piece of power equipment that you couldn't fix? What You'll Take Ownership Of:

• Inspecting,troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and fuel problems onmotorized power equipment
• Discussingequipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers
• Performingservice calls on the road and communicating with customers about equipmentissues, maintenance plans, and work performed
• Performingroutine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts, replacing spark plugs,test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts, repairing and replacing worndefective or broken parts, reassembling and reinstalling components and enginesfollowing repairs
• Cleaningup tools and messes after each project, keeping indoor and outdoor workstations clean and clear from obstructions, as well as maintaining clean andworking service trucks
• Prioritizingwork schedule, especially during busy seasonal times of year
• Assistingin maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safetystandards, striving to improve safety standards, and reporting any suspiciousactivity
• Clearlycommunicating with the Service Supervisor, as well as the Parts department toensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner
• Accuraterecord keeping, including inspections, test results, work performed, and partsused
• Assistingas sales support when needed
• Thisposition will perform related tasks as assigned

Equipment most commonly worked on by GasService Technicians include 2- and 4-stroke engines such as snow blowers,chainsaws, portable generators, power trowels, garden tractors, and golf carts

This individual must be willing to crosstrain in other repair areas as well, as they may be asked to work on anythingthat we sell at Acme.

Need-To-Haves:

• Valid Driver's License with a cleandriving record
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Although the majority of work isperformed indoors, this individual must be willing to work outside in allseasons

Skillsand Experience Preferred:

• Engine Certification
• Computer Skills
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• 2 years of experience working with gasand small-engine repair
