Job Details
Retail Pharmacy Technician primary responsibilities:
- Functions as a technician under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Responsible for knowing routine prescription dispensing procedures and following the laws pertaining to prescription dispensing, including computer entry/deciphering, insurance billing, medication and supply ordering, register procedures and good customer relation skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
Requirements Essential skills and experience:
- High school/GED/equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or previous medical experience required. Basic computer skills.
- Outlook.
Nonessential skills and experience:
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of Minnesota and Certified Pharmacy Technician training or experience highly desirable.
- Some background in mathematics, biology and chemistry desirable.
