Kandiyohi Power Cooperative is seeking a self-motivated individual for the fulltime position of Purchasing/Facilities Specialist.

Primary responsibilities to include purchasing, receiving, verifying, storing, distributing, maintaining and locating physical inventories of all materials, and the timely and accurate completion of all assigned receiving, inventory control and general paperwork/records. Duties will also include general maintenance and service of facilities, inside and outside, to keep a safe, clean and organized workplace

 

A high school degree or GED is required and 4 years prior utility experience in purchasing, receiving and inventory management is preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities would include strong interpersonal skills, working independently with minimum supervision, knowledge of utility construction practices, computer skills, excellent communication skills, and forklift operation. Kandiyohi Power Cooperative is a progressive consumer-owned electric utility located in west-central Minnesota, employs twenty-eight (28) employees, has over $50,000,000 in total utility plant and annual electric revenues of approximately $17,000,000. Kandiyohi Power Cooperative also has ownership in several subsidiary companies that provide additional services to its members.

Spicer Minnesota is a located in the heart of the lakes of Kandiyohi County and only 8 miles North of Willmar which is a progressive regional center that offers excellent educational, medical and recreational opportunities.
