LPN - Non-Vascular Radiology

Position description

The LPN provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN). The LPN collects patient data to assist in developing/updating an individualized plan of care for the patient. The LPN performs or assists with treatments and procedures according to procedural guidelines and protocols. The LPN participates as a member of the health care team and reinforces the teaching and follow up plan as delegated by the RN, mid-level provider or physician. (007734)

Qualifications

Student or Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program (e.g. some states allow RN students to take the LPN board exam after completing one to two years in the RN program). If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.

Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the clinical and/or research settings. Able to work effectively with multiple members of the interdisciplinary care team. Demonstrates strong, effective and open communication skills to achieve mutual understanding and build trust and rapport with team members. Able to work in a rapidly changing environment while participating in developing innovative and creative solutions to patient care. Excels in creative experimentation and is able to explore new paths, procedures, and /or approaches to models of care teams. Displays flexibility in adapting and coping with accelerated changes within the environment.

License or certification

Must obtain prior to start date:

Current LPN license by applicable state requirements.
Arizona and Florida: Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Midwest: Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers- BCLS – certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date. A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.

We will only accept certificates of course completion from the following providers:

•American Heart Association (Title: BLS for Healthcare Providers or BLS Provider)
•Red Cross (Title: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers or BLS for Healthcare Providers)
•Military Training Network

Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $19.49 per hour.
