JOB SUMMARY
Carries out a variety of healthcare development opportunities for Sanford and holds a leadership role in the Sanford Foundation. Key responsibilities in development administration, donor recognition, annual fund, major gift and special event coordination. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Responsibilities include writing for donor communication, making personal contacts with and soliciting gifts from corporate donors and prospects, leading specific fundraising campaigns, and collaborating with support team. Has an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and implement development opportunities as well as self-initiating skills and desires. Possess strong written, verbal and listening communication skills. Knowledgeable of development strategies and skills pertinent to making personal solicitations. Well organized with the ability to work well with interruptions and stress. Possesses flexibility and adaptability skills, which help to accommodate changing situations and workloads. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects to completion and possess a strong sense of customer service. Manages a diverse portfolio through traditional cultivation methods.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports and communicates the organization's quality management process. Refines and optimizes customer interactions within all channels to produce desired outcomes. Recognizes and adapts to differences in background, culture, language and work style, when working with others. Presents a professional image, especially when dealing with customers. Utilizes available tools or approaches for increasing knowledge of self-motivation. Assumes accountability for personal technical performance and holds others responsible for theirs. Uses the basic tools used for maintaining budgets. Champions resource management policies that support strategy and stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS
CFRE designation preferred. Bachelors degree is required. Familiarity with marketing principles as they apply to fundraising.
