Job Description: Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.
Education Qualifications:
NP - Rheumatology, Duluth, MN - 1.0 FTE
The NP utilizes advanced health assessments, knowledge, and decision making skills. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work independently and in collaboration with 3 Physicians, 1 Casual Physicianalong with8 additional staff: 4 Clinical Assistants, 2 RN's, and 2 DXA Technicians.
Nurse practitioners provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires positive relationships with patients, coworkers and others.
- Ideal Candidate will have 5 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner - Team will consider less experienced candidate if experience is in a complex medical specialty.
- This position will work with a collaborative team utilizing a care team model
- Population Served: Adult Outpatient - Clinic setting utilizing a care team model
Hours: Monday - Friday Day Shift Clinic Setting
Estimated Patients seen a day: 10 - 18 (once fully trained)
Estimated Procedures per day: 0
Licensure/CertificationQualifications:
Nurse Practitioner - Qualifications (minimum requirements)
Education and Licensure/Certification Required:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Current license as a registered nurse in MN
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in MN
- Current certification in CPR/BLS required
- National completion in applicable area
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
