Halstad Elevator Company is looking for a self-driven energetic person to join our team. In this fast-paced industry, as a Sales Agronomist, you will be working directly with growers to help maximize profitability while recommending whole farm solutions. You will promote crop protection products, seed, fertility, and precision ag services offered by the cooperative to area growers by making on farm visits.
Job Duties:
- Understand business functions and assist the whole team in efficiency profitability/growth
- Utilize seed, chemical, fertilizer, finance, and other marketing tools to grow market share
- Build on farm relationships with new/existing growers
- Coordinate with custom applicators on fertilizer and chemical
- Represent the coop in a professional manner at all times
- Promote precision ag solutions
- Extend hours in season
- Actively seek out community involvement opportunities
- Other Duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Ag knowledge and farming practice understanding
- Good Mathematical & Computer skills
- Be able to work independently
- Time management and attention to detail
- Great communication & public speaking skills
- Sales Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s in Ag Business/Agronomy
- 2-3 years sales experience or related ag experience
