Department: 14010 Hospice Program

Job Description: Is a specialist who has been certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists whose fundamental purpose is to enhance the quality of life for patients and families through the use of music. Determine and utilize music therapy approaches which effectively aid in the restoration, maintenance and improvement of psychosocial, physical and spiritual health. Serves as a role model within the components of clinician, researcher, and consultant as it relates to the field of music therapy.

Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in music therapy or graduate level music therapy equivalency degree from a college or university program approved by the American Music Therapy Association.

Completion of AMTA approved 1040 hour clinical internship in music therapy.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:
Board certification or eligibility to take the examination by the Certification Board of Music therapists.

Maintains Board Certification by meeting AMTA continuing education criteria.

Has valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

FTE: 0.9

Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start Time: 0800

Shift End Time: 1630

Weekends: Occasional to cover for events such as the service of remembrance

Holidays: No
