PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary function of a Mechanical Engineer is: designing layouts, product improvements, design analysis, along with research and development for the truck and trailer industry.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Projects are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
- Dedication to research and development of products
- Designs meet Westmor Industries engineering standards
- Design analyses, drawings, and bills of materials are accurate
PRIMARY TASKS
- Design Layouts
- Perform design analysis for truck and trailer equipment
- Implement product improvements in an evolving industry
- Evaluate and implement design changes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
- Training and/or experience in AutoCAD, Solidworks/Inventor, and Ansys or similar software packages
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good conceptual skills
- High mechanical aptitude
