Job Summary

This announcement will be used to fill various permanent full time, part time and intermittent Registered Nurse vacancies at Forensics Services (FS) in St. Peter.

Hours of work: Day/Evening 6:00am - 2:30pm, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 2:00pm - 10:30pm or Nights 10:15pm - 6:15am, Every other weekend

Forensics Services provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. The Forensics Services campusat the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center includes the Minnesota Security Hospital, the Forensic Nursing Home, a step-down program called Transition Services, and the Competency Restoration Program. This is a safe and secure treatment environment. In addition to a paid new employee orientation, we provide ongoing training and continuing education opportunities to keep our staff and organization on the leading edge of advancements in behavioral health care.

These positions will be responsible for providing experienced, professional nursing care.  Assess the needs of clients, develops individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team, provides direct nursing interventions and/or delegates specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided.

 

Qualifications

   

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to pass/perform CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Intervention.

Preferred Requirements

  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Bachelor's of Nursing degree.
