Job Title: Accounting Assistant Department: Finance Position Objective:

• Through the practice of servant leadership; enhance people's lives; carry out accounts payable, administrative, and receptionist duties in a professional manner to safely deliver quality, best value products and services, on time, to internal and external customers.


Primary Responsibilities:


• Perform Accounts Payable functions associated with the payment of invoices

• Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve price and/or quantity discrepancies
• Perform Receptionist duties, greeting guests and take incoming calls
• Provide administrative support for various areas of the company

• Provide training to individuals to maintain front desk coverage
• Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments

• Support and contribute to department and company metrics
• Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture


General Responsibilities:


• Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements

• Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
• Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:


• Associate's degree in Accounting, Administrative, Business or related field plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

• Excellent phone etiquette
• Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data
• Strong computer, proofreading, and editing skills

• Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
• Proficient keyboarding skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work in an office setting with interactions with manufacturing personnel

• Observant with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to take action and be proactive

• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Conscientious of meeting and exceeding internal and external customers needs
• Passion for excellence
