Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and releasing customer-facing iOS applications for the iPad and iPhone. Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to establish and refine cross-system requirements, ensuring a high-quality end user experience with a robust and intuitive design. Propose and develop novel software solutions to meet program goals and objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Develop customer-facing iOS applications in Objective C and other selected languages and frameworks as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on system architecture, data services, IoT integration, and user interface requirements.
  • Utilize software engineering tools including configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers throughout the software development process.
  • Generate engineering documentation in accordance with company procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) required
  • Minimum 5 year's experience with iOS application development, with demonstrated performance building and releasing mobile apps.
  • Prior experience with the following is desired:
    • IoT infrastructure development and integration
    • BLE/Bluetooth 4.0 integration
    • Scrum/Agile software development methods
    • Database design and administration
  • Pilot's license and/or experience with general aviation avionics systems a plus

Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to work both execute, deliver, and complete projects independently, seeking direction and input from stakeholders when needed.
