Summary: Swanson Health is seeking a Marketplace Manager to lead the implementation and ongoing management of multiple online channels and marketplaces including, Amazon (U.S. and Canada), Walmart, Jet and eBay. The Marketplace Manager will play a critical role in revenue acceleration and growing this strategic ecommerce channel.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and be unafraid to tackle new challenges. Successful candidates will be results driven with a strong focus on sales and margin growth and think creatively to overcome the dynamic challenges of the channel.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Track KPIs and actively manage daily performance to grow existing marketplace sales.
  • Analyze data and produce reports related to sales trends and marketplace performance.
  • Partner with the paid media team to inform advertising investments to grow revenue.
  • Partner with the merchandising and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Help prepare requests for shipments and track through to receipt at Amazon, et al.
  • Ensure active items in the catalog are continuously available for sale, troubleshoot ASIN/SKUs issues and submit/follow-up on cases to quickly resolve sales impediments.
  • Partner with analytics to plan and implement pricing changes to maximize buy box win rates and balance competitiveness with sales and profit.
  • Partner with the internal brand team to develop and implement SEO-optimized on-page product copy and brand images; optimize listings for conversion.
  • Implement strategies to grow revenue - e.g. multipack listings; promotions, deals, and coupons; and participation in key selling events like Prime Day.
  • Gather and share channel intel, including competitive research and platform changes.
  • Support Subscribe & Save and other key programs.
  • Support the expansion of domestic marketplace programs internationally.
  • Support new marketplaces as they gain relevance to Swanson Health.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with constant commitment to teamwork and customer service.
  • Present a professional image of SHP in all conduct with internal and external contacts.


  • Competencies Required:
    • Working knowledge of search engine marketing and bid-based digital marketing platforms like Amazon Sponsored Listings and Google Adwords.
    • Experience buying or selling items on Amazon or eBay.
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills. Ability to independently learn new systems.
    • Ability to be self-directed and collaborate in functional team environment.
    • Effective written and verbal communication ability with keen attention to detail.
    • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and modern web standards.
    • Effective planning and time management skills.
    • Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Familiarity with Adobe or Google Analytics or similar analytics and reporting tools.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
    Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of digital marketing experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
