JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to evaluate, locate and recommend equipment to be purchased for new and remodeled construction projects for Sanford entities. Produce room-by-room equipment lists that identify all equipment and furniture required for the project while considering local market concerns, approved budgets, and capital utilization. Adhere to value analysis formularies and enterprise standards when recommending equipment and supplies. Develop and manage medical equipment budgets and equipment planning timelines. Prepare reports regarding project status, budget performance and savings as needed. Assist in medical equipment and furniture inventories and documentation, where necessary. Build effective relationships and coordinates activities and communications between Sanford, suppliers, architects, and contractors to include equipment room layouts, specifications, requests for information, drawings, contractor change orders, modifications, and other aspects of design as they arise. Ensure work, including procurement, delivery and installation of equipment and furniture is completed in a time frame that supports the project schedule and budgets. Maintains accurate project equipment list reports. Understands medical equipment planning, architectural processes and can read and interpret blue prints and other architectural designs. Manages the movement and sale of excess equipment internally and externally to Sanford. Participate in development of equipment planning and project management standards and processes in pursuit of excellent quality control and customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

The hours for this position are typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred. Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in capital planning, project management, contracting or Supply Chain Operations required.
