Job Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator performs administrative duties for the HR division. This position supports HR initiatives including data entry, administration of employment functions, and supporting recruitment, training, and onboarding activities.

Essential Functions

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Keys and processes all employee data changes.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of HR SharePoint and related software.
  • Serves as resource for internal and external customers for HR-related questions such as onboarding, employment verification, and job openings.
  • Ensures proper documentation and compliance with paperwork, legal regulations, and employment law.
  • Maintains office supply and other inventory items and requests purchase orders, order materials, and track receipts.
  • Completes day-to-day operations such as data entry, scheduling events and appointments, distributing mail, and answering incoming calls and emails in a professional manner.
  • Handles job application filing, job posting support, various tracking and scheduling, candidate assistance, paperwork processing, and applicant tracking system maintenance and monitoring.
  • Participates and prepares materials and presentations.
  • Performs limited research, collects data, and prepares information for special projects, audits, and HR initiatives.
  • Assists with maintaining workload within the team.

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 1-year human resources or related experience
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience
  • Proficient in typing
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential informaiton

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field OR 4-years' human resources or related experience

  • Certifications in aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP (Associate Professional in Human Resources, Professional in Human Resources, or Society of Human Resource Management-Certified Professional)


Environment and Cognitive/Physical Demands
  • Office Environment
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve
  • Requires prolonged sitting and telephone usage
  • Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers
  • Infrequent lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Infrequent stooping
