Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Status:  $12.00/hr, part-time, non-benefitted, non-exempt
Temporary position, 19 hours per week, flexible schedule.


Work Schedule: The hours for this position can vary between 7:00 am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday with some Saturday work available.

Position Details:
The Testing Services Assistant works part-time and is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Testing Services functions. The person in this position assists in the support and proctoring for all Prometric testing, Pearson Vue testing, as well as other standardized testing.  They also administer on-site accommodated exams as well as online testing for the University of North Dakota. This position assists with serving students through answering questions about and scheduling exams.  In addition they collect data, process rosters, and respond to phone inquiries.

Candidate will become a Prometric Certified Test Center Administrator (TCA) within two weeks of employment.  Typical work day includes greeting, directing, and seating examinees, monitoring and proctoring testing rooms, proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office programs to complete daily paperwork associated with testing, and attending to phone calls for scheduling and other questions.

  • This position will adhere to detailed instructions necessary for supporting standardized exams
  • Will handle a high volume of testers
  • Will use strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Will  use various computer systems to administer online exams, record results, and submit reports
  • Will prioritize multiple tasks; strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • This position will use excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment that is focused on student success

* UND students in programs requiring admission or certification exams from either CLEP, Pearson Vue or Prometric should not apply, as it may jeopardize your ability to take necessary tests in the future.

The position will report to the Testing Services Specialist, who reports to the Coordinator for Testing Services, within the Division of Academic Affairs.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with computers/software
  • Successful completion of  Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment that is focused on student success
