Job Summary:

Supports and participates in the collection and analysis of a wide range of institutional data across the college, to meet data reporting requirements, to support and enhance informed decision-making, problem solving, strategic planning, policy development, academic assessment, and institutional self-assessment.

Project Management and Support
• Document processes and procedures of common office functions and tasks.
• Review methods to improve office work flow and simplify procedures to ensure an efficient and organized work environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without close supervision
• Assist with the execution of assessment activities, including administering surveys and assessments, maintaining an assessment calendar, and managing the administrative aspects of departmental assessment plan submission and response process
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collect specific requirements for each project
• Develop and utilize processes to track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
• Maintain office shared calendar

Data analysis and reporting
• Work with Director to complete internal and external data requests
• Analyze, validate and translate large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner
• Manage data and prepares reports using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other software including Ellucian Banner, IBM Cognos and Adobe InDesign
• Uses Microsoft Excel to analyze data and produce charts
• Respond to request for lists, ensuring compliance with data privacy policies

General Office Duties
• Organize meetings including the preparation and distribution of meeting materials
• Supervise and manage the work of student office assistant
• Maintain the internal and external office web page
• Edit and proofread reports and documents
• Maintain both hard and soft copy files
• Participate in special events as requested
• Process budget paperwork
• Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field or equivalent education and experience
Knowledge of and appreciation for the unique characteristics of private liberal arts education
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Advanced time management and analytical skills
Attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of office practices and procedures
Customer service oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn new software programs using online training
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
Ability to prioritize, work accurately and in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ellucian Banner and its affiliated Operational Data Store
Experience with Cognos, or similar reporting and analysis tools
Experience with Adobe InDesign
Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics
Desktop publishing, graphic design, or marketing experience
