Position Description:
The Director for Student Academic Services is responsible for managing retention activities, providing training and support to academic advisors, overseeing registration, and supporting students with academic challenges. This position is also responsible for having a working knowledge of campus programs, academic services, co-curricular programs, and for creating best practices and technology in academic advising. The Director will work closely with faculty throughout the year, actively participate with Student Orientation, and assist new, returning, and transfer students with registration and withdrawals.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and five years of directly related work experience (may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualifications), high-level ability to communicate (oral and written) to a broad and varied audience, and an excellent ability to interact and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree, work experience in a university setting, experience developing programs or initiatives, working knowledge of student information systems, including PeopleSoft and retention software programs, reflective listening skills, counseling skills, knowledge of educational processes, interpersonal skills, and bilingual/proficient in second language are preferred.

Compensation:
$50,000 - $62,000. Comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid full family coverage for health insurance, TIAA retirement plan, and tuition waiver benefits. Complete benefits as below:
