Reports To: Store Director, Assistant Store Director

PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to ensure delivery of fast and friendly service and quality product, while closely monitoring inventory, cost control, and maintaining a clean, safe, & positive store environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assists customers with their coffee orders

• Greet, offer, & thank every customer

• Provides recommendations to customers

• Takes customer orders and payment

• Prepares beverages and serves food products

Functional Requirement:

• Physical: walking, bending, kneeling, able to reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weighing up to 50 lbs., equipment operation (intercom, telephone, scanner, register, scale, blender, coffee maker, espresso machine, coffee grinder)

• Mental: judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, basic understanding of weights and measurements, reading, writing, & math skills

Maintaining a neat and organized store appearance

• Keeping supplies stocked and organized

• Ensures floors are clean and free of debris

• Prepares product for later shifts

Functional Requirement:

Maintaining Hornbacher's standards

• Works closely with Hornbacher's Caribou Specialist and Store Director

• Ensures each and every product delivered to the customer meets Hornbacher's quality standards

• Maintains equipment in good working condition

• Training new team members

Daily supervision of store policies and procedures

• Adherence to Hornbacher's Food Safety Policies

• Develop effective daily/weekly work plans

• Utilize sales projections, budgeted labor goals, & previous operating results to optimize store performance

• Providing performance reviews to Caribou Coffee associates

• Calling in maintenance requests for department issues

Experience

• Previous experience in a coffee shop is required

• 2 years supervisory experience preferred

*Must be able to work a variety of shifts; including early mornings, nights, weekends, & holidays.

*Must be 18 years or older.
