JOB SUMMARY

Direct contact and is the primary contact on assigned cases responsible for the delivery, coordination, and documentation of specific psychiatric rehabilitative services as assigned to individuals with mental illness. Assist in supervision and coordination of treatment delivery of program services including planning, developing and implementing a variety of educational, skill building and recreational groups and activities. Responsible for providing program guidance and clinical supervision to ensure program requirements are being met per regulations. Involvement in the development, modification, and implementation of patient's treatment and the service components provided by the program.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a full-time, 80 hours every 2 weeks, evening shift position. Serves as a Mental Health Practitioner on Mobile Crisis Response Team for Region II; covering Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard and Lake of the Woods counties. Responsible for responding to children and adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency by providing assessment, intervention and stabilization under direct clinical supervision on Mental Health Professional. Works closely Mental Health Professionals, Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers, and Certified Peer Specialists on the Mobile Crisis Response Team. Willingness and ability to travel to the site of crisis including client’s home, emergency department and other locations in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid class D driver's license & insurance. Must maintain a good driving record. Relevant experience in providing mental health services; good written and verbal communication skills; organizational skills; and the ability to work independently in an effective and efficient manner. Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university or a Bachelor's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences along with 2000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness; or an Associates degree in one of the behavioral health sciences or related fields along with 4000 hours of experience; or, for an individual without a degree, 6000 hours in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness. Access to personal vehicle and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities. Must meet MN Department of Human Services requirements for Mental Health Practitioner.
