JOB SUMMARY

The Activities Manager is responsible for the ongoing developing and implementation of an activities and volunteers program designed to assist in maintaining the physical, psychological, and spiritual functions of residents. Organizes, directs and provides activity programs and services that meet the recreational needs Care Center and Swing Bed residents/patients in accordance with the state and federal requirements. Oversees the day to day activities of staff and volunteers of the department. Implementing individualized activity plan, promote group activities, which maintain or enrich the resident's. Assists in maintaining a safe home like environment for the residents. Improving quality of life by providing appropriate and meaningful activities and interventions on a one on one and group basis. These interventions will enable residents to function at their optimal level while maintain the Residents dignity and identity.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid Class C Driver's License, with Commercial Driver's License Endorsement P, within 6 months of date of hire. The incumbent at least must hold licensure as one of the following: Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, The Must be a graduate of an accredited OT, COTA, Therapeutic Recreation program or be an accredited activities professional. If the incumbent is only recognized as an accredited activities professional, they must have the equivalent of two years of full-time
