Position Summary:

Combining the art of digital communication with the science behind driving revenue to the organization, the Digital Engagement Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience and participates in the direction and execution of all digital marketing strategies. She/he is responsible for implementing the company's digital marketing strategy across all digital marketing mediums, including: website, social media, e-newsletters, email campaigns, and online advertising; creating and curating content with the ability to tell engaging stories in written, graphical, and oral forms; managing and executing both content and social media calendars; website user experience; search engine optimization and search engine marketing; measuring digital outcomes and return on investment, and participating in various company events and public relations programs.



Essential Responsibilities:

Job Function Number 1: Digital Marketing & Social Media Management - 40%
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies and digital advertising plans based on overall advertising strategy and company marketing strategy to acquire new clients as well as retain and deepen relationships with existing clients.
  • Lead the creation of digital content including writing and editing for website(s), social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and online advertising. Share this content with internal/external audiences.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's digital marketing presence by executing on strategy across all digital mediums (website, blog, social media, email, mobile, digital advertising and search engine marketing, video), and ensuring quality content.
  • Manage digital marketing and social media channels by recommending and implementing updates and enhancements to content and platforms to improve user experience, increase traffic, and heighten visitor engagement.
  • Serve as in-house expert for all things social media and outbound content, including sharing trends and best practices with the marketing team and department management and making recommendations for setting strategy.
  • Monitor conversations across social media and address important mentions in real-time through engagement, escalation, or documentation.
  • Develop channel strategies, engagement strategies, and social guidelines (the engagement playbook).
  • Maintain overall digital integrity and user experience by ensuring accuracy, consistent tone, and look and feel.
  • Support business lines with marketing their products and/or services in social media and other digital platforms.
  • Generate innovative ideas to promote the company brand, business and products.



Job Function Number 2: Writing - 40%
  • Plan, create, and manage content calendar for website, mobile platforms, and social media including writing, editing, and proofreading copy, determining the placement and cadence of content, ensuring the right volume and quality, and providing content optimization recommendations based on performance.
  • Develop and author content for the website that appeals to established client segments.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, up to date, and compliant with industry regulations
  • Develop content for Financial Fitness initiatives.
  • Converts technical or financial language into clear, relevant content; works with Marketing team to produce visual content; and capitalizes on social trends to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Create an annual plan, write and distribute content through digital channels, and measure and analyze the resulting data to determine which delivery method is most effective.
  • Manage and evolve brand, narrative, voice, and personality as well as editorial style.



Job Function Number 3: Maintaining Fresh Web Presence and Reporting - 20%
  • Manage, maintain, and update the company's external website(s) and most Mortgage Banker personal websites to appeal to targeted audiences.
  • Work closely with compliance staff to ensure regulatory compliance of all messaging
  • Ensure all web content follows current SEO best practices and is also ADA compliant
  • Manage company's local online presence, including Google My Business and numerous directories; presence management to include addresses, contact information, hours of operation, and services description.
  • Measures/reports overall effectiveness of digital presence via Google analytics, vendor partnerships, and other accepted means.
  • Identify KPIs and track performance for all digital channels and campaigns.
  • Measure and analyze digital channels to determine which delivery method is the most effective.
  • Collaborates with key staff and external vendors for the purpose of optimizing users' website experience. Gains insights from web analytics and creates and implements plans to drive engagement, improve visitor interactions, and optimize performance of web properties.
  • Drive constant innovation by staying current with the latest trends and changes in SEO/SEM, email marketing, web technologies, and new ideas for content management and strategies to keep outreach current.



Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience managing digital content in social spaces and a high traffic website.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress HTML and experience using a content management systems.
  • Proven content creation experience, including writing, photography, and video.
  • Exceptional digital writing, social media communication and project organization skills.
  • Understanding of social media, blog management, and related best practices.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • Experience with managing social outposts such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Knowledge of and experience with using AP Style.
  • Strong knowledge in Google Analytics.
  • Experience working with ADA compliant websites.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and related platforms.
  • Comfort with statistics, Excel, social media tracking methodologies.
  • Experience in the financial services industry to include banking, trust and investments, mortgage, and/or retirement plan services and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

Physical Demands: (must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation)
  • Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and using office equipment.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day.
  • Extended time is spent reviewing physical and electronic documents.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 20 lbs.
  • Will spend most of time in an indoor environment.
