Job Details

Position Description:
This position will work within the American Indian Public Health Resource Center to work directly with tribes to assist with public health strategic planning, health education material development and dissemination, curriculum development, and health promotion and disease prevention. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: engaging stakeholders in public health educational curriculum development, developing a standardized undergraduate public health curriculum, developing bridge programs to NDSU MPH and graduate certificate programs, developing public health education materials, developing an inventory of tribal public health education priorities, and other duties as assigned. Some travel is required. This position is grant funded with a 1.5 year minimum time frame. Continuation after the 1.5 years depends on continued funding.

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA or BS
• Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in public health
• Experience working with American Indian Tribes
• Experience in a supervisory or management role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, documentation preparation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• MA or MS or MPH
• Grant writing experience
• Experience providing technical assistance
• Experience in coordinating and facilitating community discussions
• Experience with curriculum development
• Experience with health education material development and dissemination
• Knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention practices
