Hiring Department:  Athletic Department - Volleyball Program

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification:  $38,000/Annual, Full-Time, Benefited, Exempt
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm includes evenings, weekends and holidays

Assist the head women’s volleyball coach in all areas of coaching a Division I collegiate volleyball program, could include but not limited to:

  • daily coaching at games and practices
  • assist strength coach for weight training and conditioning practices
  • recruiting
  • scheduling
  • practice/game management
  • scouting opponents
  • academic supervision of student-athletes
  • monitoring of social media for social media sites for student-athlete
  • video analysis
  • public relations/community service, fund-raising
  • camp organization/coordination
  • maintain social media sites for the volleyball team 
  • Other organizational and administrative duties as assigned by head coach 

 
Other Competencies:

  • Must have effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni, and general public
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of and commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations. 
  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes including a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of coaching at the college level (junior college, NAIA, Division I or II)
  • 3 years of recruiting experience at the 4 year college level (junior college, NAIA, Division I, or II)
  • Experience/proficiency with Data Volley
  • Successful completion of background check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Head coaching experience at the Junior college or 4 year college level
  • Experience coordinating summer camps
  • Experience with scouting, film and processing data
  • Experience recruiting at a Power 5 level
