Director of Integrated Media Operations

Forum Communications Company is hiring a Director of Integrated Media Operations who is responsible for the oversight of all centralized production units, ensuring that high quality and efficiency standards are achieved in our newspaper and specialty publications across the company. Additionally responsible for contributing ideas and direction for the overall integrated media division and the collaboration of its working units. Other responsibilities include:

• Manages and directs the day to day supervision of staff to include: recruitment, hiring, training, rewarding, discipline, and assigning various work activities.
• Responsible for overall strategy and collaboration among all FCC centralized operations teams.
• Work with publishers and department managers on implementation of high-level design and productivity standards for all operations/production units.
• Maintain regular communication with publishers, editors, ad directors and all other internal stakeholders to ensure quality, deadline, and customer service expectations are being met.
• Assist in preparing budgets to include salaries and equipment needs.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Requirements:

• Four year college degree in related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related media field; newspaper experience preferred; some supervisory experience required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage under deadlines and multitask.
• Must be creative and a problem solver.
• Must be able to work with various personalities and schedules.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Basic knowledge of electronic layout and graphics programs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
• Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
