Job Details
The Duluth News Tribune is hiring a full-time Photographer to provide visual reportage through photographics or video documentation.
- Produces images through still and video equipment that make a statement, reflect human emotion and evoke a response in the viewers.
- Composes factual, accurate and grammatically correct captions to accompany photographic/video images.
- Responsible for care and maintenance of photographic and video equipment.
- Performs photo management tasks including downloading, sizing toning and cropping.
- Attends weekly/daily department meetings.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional news photography experience.
- One to two year’s related experience and or training; or combination of education and training.
- Ability to follow and interpret direction and visual concepts both verbal and written.
- Competent in the execution of photographic/video processes relative to composition, lighting, sizing, cropping and news judgment
- Implement creative solutions.
- Ability to work in ever-changing deadline environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
- Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
