The Radiologic Technologist performs Radiographic, CT, DEXA, and EKG exams following protocols, policies, and guidelines of the department/hospital with direction from the Radiology Team Leader, Radiologists and Physicians at the Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital. In addition, this position requires knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Echo, Mammography and Ultrasound in order to answer patient questions and schedule exams. This position requires excellent communication and computer skills as well as compliance with patient rights and patient confidentiality, the Employee Handbook, ALARA, HIPPA and state and federal regulations. This position requires completion of a technical competency for each area of Diagnostic Imaging they perform. The technologist may be assigned other duties not listed. Shifts include Days, Evenings and Call.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements include:

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of a two-year Medical Association approved course in Radiologic Technology or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous CT experience preferred.

Possession of, or eligible for, required Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

Ability to slide, position, push and / or transfer patients

Ability to identify and differentiate colors

Data entry and computer skills

Cross training in different modalities

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
