Job Details
The Contract System Analyst is responsible for maintaining an efficient, high quality document management system for all product lines, including developing, testing and documenting the program logic for the models and sections that generate benefit plans materials. This position maintains the document management system making modifications as needed, moving models and/or sections into production after thorough testing and providing backup and support to the department, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Designs and writes program logic and execution instructions to handle benefit variations within the given standards and procedures.
• Determines the impact of new benefit proposals on the document management coding structure and related systems.
• Serves as the primary resource for product/benefit information and answering questions related to the document management system.
• Participates on committees, work groups and corporate project teams to assist in the development of new benefit designs.
• Prepares and maintains current and historical, individual and non-master plan group documents.
• Provides advice and direction during programming and project implementation phases by collaborating with IT staff on the layout and development of the applications for user areas of the document management system.
• Tests all applications prior to being released to production, communicates test results and any program or specification changes required, and follows up on steps required to correct any issues.
• Transfers models and/or sections to production environment.
• Interprets problems related to production and uses best practices to determine corrective procedure, coordinates resolution procedures and communicates resolution to those affected.
• Provides back-up and support to the department as needed by having the knowledge and ability to carry out contract preparation for small and large groups, and key accounts, and filing for the North Dakota Board of Insurance.
• Coordinates and conducts training sessions for new and existing employees, shares database and programming language knowledge and acts as a consultant to internal staff.

Preferred: Minimum of 3 Years
Experience Details: Minimum of 3 years of health insurance, document management, contract administration, benefit plan design or related experience is required.

Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
