Hiring Department:  Athletics Department - Compliance Assistant

Minimum Hiring Salary / Position Classification:  $30,000/Annual, Full-Time, Benefited, Exempt
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans. 
 Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; may include evenings , weekends, holidays

The Compliance Assistant will provide guidance to the UND community with regard to NCAA rules, regulations and standards which mandate integrity and fair play in Athletics.
 
Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of compliance including but not limited to:

• Preparation and organization of required NCAA and conference forms & reports
• Maintenance and monitoring of compliance-related records to include recruiting records, practice and playing season records
• Initial eligibility
• ACS coordination
• Coaches and staff education
• Supervision of compliance interns / student employees

 
Required Competencies:

• Must have effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni and general public.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Powerpoint)
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are needed for this position.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality of information and records.
• Must have a commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations. 
• Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes including having a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of one semester experience working in NCAA compliance at an NCAA DI or DII Institution
• Experience with NCAA Software, CAi or LSDBi
• Successfully complete a criminal history background check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. 



Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Front Rush or similar product
• One full year experience in NCAA Division I institution compliance office
• Experience with NCAA Division I rules is helpful
