The Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with other IT Managers to successfully execute key projects within the systems IT supports. This position will ensure projects are aligned with business strategies and will coordinate work activities to ensure the project is completed within scope, on time and within the budget.

This position completes the following essential functions within established Company and department policies, procedures and deadlines.
  • Works with subject experts and system owner to align and achieve operational objectives by preparing, managing action plans; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change.
  • Works effectively with the IT department, internal resources, and third parties/vendors to define scope of projects, manage risk and complete project within budget and timeline.
  • Monitors and leads project team.
  • Fosters relationships to ensure project runs effectively.
  • Coordinates or performs the development of user manuals, training materials and all other applicable reports and documentation.
  • Acts as change agent and works to facilitate change ensuring all parties are informed of the impacts of schedules, deliverables, budget and final product.
  • May participate in the testing of deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this position requires:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and/or Project Management or relevant field and five to ten years of relevant work experience required.
  • PMP Certified required.
  • Proficiency in the use and understanding of related software tools including but limited to MS Project, JIRA, MS Excel, Visio, etc..
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies, understanding with large enterprise systems (ERP).
  • Experience developing and managing the RFP processes.
  • Effective communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills, including the ability to develop and present training materials, work prioritization and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and requests as well as problem-solving skills are essential.
  • ITIL or ITSM certification preferred.
