JOB SUMMARY

Supports leadership development program design, strategy and implementation in coordination with leadership. Researches and supports creation of leadership development policies, processes, procedures, tools and guidelines. Provides content, development, facilitation and communication for leadership development programs. Develops work plans for specific leadership initiatives. Assesses programs effectiveness through evaluations and other measurements to ensure quality outcomes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives. Assists in conducting activities in organizational employee development to reduce skill gaps among employees. Attend meetings or seminars to obtain information for use in training programs or to inform management of training program status. Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Develops trust and credibility by acting in a consistent, genuine manner. Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities or program effectiveness. Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This position will support departments across the organization, providing training and organizational effectiveness consulting. Will assist teams with team building and problem solving. Will research and support the creation of leadership development policies, processes, tools and guidelines. Will develop work plans for specific leadership initiatives and assess program effectiveness through evaluations and other measures to ensure quality outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in human resources, business or related discipline. Master's degree preferred. Three to five years experience in leadership development. Experience in developing leadership development programs. Experience in healthcare and/or insurance industry preferred.
