Position Description:
The Department of Construction Management and Engineering at North Dakota State University ( NDSU ) invites applications for one tenure-track position in construction engineering and management at the rank of Assistant Professor (outstanding candidates may be considered at the rank of Associate Professor). Candidates for this position are expected to be able to teach three courses per year among the general construction engineering or construction management curriculum, to maintain an active research agenda, and provide necessary advising and committee service. Individuals with expertise in construction materials, virtual design and construction ( VDC ), or big data are especially encouraged to apply. The anticipated start date is on August 16, 2019.

About the Department: The construction degree program at NDSU was approved in 1969 by the North Dakota Board of Higher Education with the support of the Associated General Contractors ( AGC ) of North Dakota. Within the Department, the Program of Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering is accredited by ABET , and is the third oldest accredited construction engineering program in the United States. The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education ( ACCE ). The department has around 260 undergraduate students and 40 graduate students. More information about the Department can be found at www.ndsu.edu/construction.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in construction management construction engineering, architectural engineering, or civil engineering
- Demonstrated teaching and research skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-years of relevant continuous construction industry experience
- Relevant professional registration and/or certifications (PE or CPC )
- College level teaching and research experience
- Knowledge about ACCE and/or ABET accreditation
- Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a diversity of colleagues and students
