The Department of Technology at Valley City State University is seeking a full time, tenure-track or special appointment faculty member to join the team!

The primary responsibility of this position is to teach online courses as part of the technology and engineering education graduate and undergraduate degree programs.


Main Duties
Teaching TECH and STEMED courses in Department of Technology in a primarily online environment. May include F2F delivery.
Recruiting and advising a diverse student population.
Engaging in appropriate service in the department, university, and academic community.
Ongoing evaluation and upgrading of standards-based course content and supporting activities.
Developing professionally and staying current with course content, evaluating teaching methods and working to improve student learning and engagement.


Minimum Qualifications
M.Ed. or M.S. degree. Demonstrated experience delivering STEM-based content and activities with emphasis in technology and engineering. Demonstrated methodology knowledge appropriate to area.
Ability to work with others in a collegial and collaborative manner

Preferred Qualifications
Degree content area in technology and engineering, STEM education, or industrial technology education
Doctorate in relevant content area
Experience teaching in one of the following: integrated STEM education; Engineering by Design (ITEEA); Project Lead the Way
Documented experience delivering through online or interactive video delivery
Demonstrated knowledge of the Standards for Technological Literacy (ITEEA, 2000)
Teaching experience in K-12 and/or post-secondary
Advising experience with diverse populations
Demonstrated experience utilizing technology in learning

Compensation
The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications, and typically ranges from $41,000 (Instructor) to $45,000 (Assistant Professor) annually.
