Job Details
The Infection Control Housekeeper maintains all patient and non-patient environments to ensure standards of health, safety, and infection control.
This position is responsible for cleanliness of facility efficiently and completely as directed; follows special cleaning weekly, monthly, yearly scheduled as required with consistent quality; utilizes equipment such as mops, housekeeping carts, chemicals, supplies, etc. Provides the highest level of service to prevent the risk of infection, observes and reports needed repair of equipment, furniture, building and fixtures as necessary to the Plant Operations Manager.
This position will implement required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing and/or moving of objects/materials and or cleaning of blood, infectious materials or soiled linen in accordance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and/or Anne Carlsen’s policies and exposure control plan for Blood-borne Pathogens to include but not limited to: disinfecting furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.; wet mop floors daily, disinfect bathrooms. This position will be required to maintain all areas free from infectious disease.
Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required.
