Hiring Department:    ATHLETICS - Football Assistant Coach / Offensive Line

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification $60,000/Annual, Benefited, Full-time, Exempt
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver.  Optional benefits available: supplemental life, dental, vision, flexible spending account, supplemental retirement plans.
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm  (may include evenings, weekends, and holidays)

The University of North Dakota is seeking applicants for a Football Assistant Coach / Offensive Line.  This position will assist the head football coach with all aspects of Division I collegiate football program with focus on the offensive line.

Responsibilities include assisting the head football coach in all areas of:

  • Coaching
  • Recruiting
  • Practice / Game Management
  • Game Preparation
  • Analyze game film
  • Academic supervision of student-athletes
  • Monitoring of social media for student athletes
  • Camp organization / coordination
  • Advising / mentoring as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.

 
Other administrative duties could include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing team travel
  • Scouting opponents
  • Assisting with scheduling
  • Assisting with fund-raising and community service
  • Academic monitoring of student-athletes
  • Developing and maintaining social media outlets / sites for the football program
  • Assist Camp Coordinator
  • Assist Recruiting Coordinator


Required Competencies:

  • Must have effective professional working relationship with student-athletes, staff, administration, alumni, and general public. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize
  • Must have a commitment to NCAA compliance and follow all NCAA, conference and UND rules and regulations. 
  • Must provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree 
  • 3 years coaching experience at the DI level or DII level or professional level
  • Experience as collegiate offensive line coach
  • Experience with NCAA rules and regulations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of  criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • NCAA DI recruiting experience 
  • Experience scouting DI level and evaluating talent
  • Experience with DVSport video editing software
  • Experience with summer football camps
  • Experience analyzing film to create player breakdowns
