Job Details
Position Objective:
• Through the practice of servant leadership and a passion for Aagard’s success, ensure manufacturing operations excellence in safely delivering quality, best value products and services, on time, to our internal and external customers Primary Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, provide work direction, leadership and feedback for Assembly, Fabrication, Materials, Quality, and Manufacturing Support departments
• Provide overall company direction as an Leadership Team member
• Support the hiring, training, development and evaluation of manufacturing personnel. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis in accordance with company policy
• Manage policy development and deployment in areas of lean manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and performance metrics
• Implement plans and strategies to ensure successful completion of projects • Manage manufacturing capacity, scheduling, forecast and headcount requirements
• Be actively involved in Aagard’s continuous improvement projects and culture
• Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate timely improvements and improved working relationships
• Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investment and improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with company standards and policies
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards (OSHA, UL, etc.)
• Oversee facility maintenance
• Be a dynamic presence that brings positive energy and intensity into each interaction
• Keep the proper confidences (pricing, technologies, personnel, etc.)
• Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments
• Support and contribute to department and company metrics General
Responsibilities:
• Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
• Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
• Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors
Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred plus 7 years manufacturing management experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Previous experience in an manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the automated machinery industry
• Knowledge of lean practices
• Ability to engage others and lead the team to success
• Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
• Proficient keyboarding skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, to take action and be proactive
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers verbally, in writing, with presentation skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Conscientious of meeting and exceeding the customers needs
• Passion for excellence • Value and build a culture of measurement
• Ability to travel as required
