The Director for Facilities Management provides leadership to a comprehensive facilities management department responsible for facilities planning; space administration; planning and construction management; facilities maintenance (preventive and deferred); renovation and remodel services; energy management and power plant operations; custodial services; grounds and landscape maintenance; transportation services; and parking. This management includes direction of approximately 90 staff, 118 acres, and 45 buildings.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, Engineering, Business or Architecture
• Five years of experience to include progressively increased responsibilities in comprehensive facilities management.
• At least four years of successful supervisory experience.
• A thorough knowledge of facilities planning, design and construction, facilities maintenance and management, utilities operation and management, personnel management and training, and financial management.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity is paramount.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in interactions with adherence to confidentiality is essential.
• Ability to perform highly detailed work of a confidential nature, with sustained attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
