Public Safety Dispatcher

The Public Safety Dispatcher operates the Kandiyohi County 9-1-1 emergency phone system, computer aided dispatch/records system, and sophisticated radio/telephone network in providing assistance to field personnel, other agencies, and the public.

Must be able to exercise rational judgment and work both independently and in a team. Related post-secondary education and dispatch experience preferred. Must pass practical dispatcher test, oral interview, thorough background investigation, and psychological examination. Credit may be offered for prior dispatch experience and/or CJIS Certification. Full-time position with benefits; rotating shifts, holidays and weekends required. Salary classification and range (2019): B23 $46,613 - $67,604 per year.
