We are looking for an FRP Process Engineer/Supervisor for our location in Marion, South Carolina; The quality control and Improvement technician guarantees the structural and aesthetical quality of the FRP part. In particular validating the compliance of raw material used, validating the proper implementation of the various FRP process and engaging the team (team members and technical support) to improve and reduce rework. This position will supervise a small team of 8-10 people.

Job Responsibilities Include: Validate raw material  from  suppliers, work with the R&D  to approve new material and stay informed of process change; Validate the part are built per specification; Guarantee the respect of SOP, Sequence manual and industry best practice;  Follow the full construction during the launch of new design; Review the current process, the rework and the warranty claims to identify opportunity of improvement; Define an improvement road map to reach our budgetary target and track the progress made during the year; Work with the plant QC team to receive plant feedback and coordinate the overall improvement plan; Participate in the implementation of improvement where needed: documentation, instruction, organization, tooling, fixture, raw mat, etc.; Performs all other miscellaneous duties as requested.  

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational/technical training and at least eight (8) years of advance fiberglass manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and/or Certifications: Certified Composites Technician (CCT) by American Composites Manufactures Association or equivalent justifying expertise in composite implementation in particular with injection molding, infusion molding.
