Catering Supervisor

Position Description:
(Sunday-Saturday, schedule varies based on business demands)
Performs all necessary duties to serve food to customers. Executes all necessary tasks to assure a high degree of cleanliness, quality and sanitation in food production and food service areas. Maintains all equipment used at workstations in an acceptable and sanitary condition. Assist with menu design, inventory, and provide leadership for the recruitment, selection, training, supervision and evaluation of staff. Responsible for the implementation, evaluation and enforcement of departmental policies and procedures. Serve as a role model and leader for staff in customer service and teamwork. This position primarily works at the Alumni Center overseeing events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to drive a truck with a lift
• Minimum 3 years experience in a food service operation/catering
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a food service operation
• Familiarity with computer programs such as word processing and email
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to contribute to a positive and productive team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food Safety Certification
• College or University food service experience

Physical Demands:
Continuously: Stand, walk, use hands dexterously (use fingers to handle, feel), reach with hands and arms, see, talk, hear, taste, smell and lift up to 10 pounds.
Frequently: Lift up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 50 pounds.
