This position is available in our Thief River Falls Facility or the Bloomington Facility


Position Overview
The Front End Developer is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining Digi-Key's various digital platforms. This role may partner|guide Front End Development Associates. This role is similar to the FE Development Associate however the scope and complexity of the increases and the level of oversight decreases.

Responsibilities
Must be able to...

• Gather, analyze, and interpret web metric data for various sections of the Digi-Key web site
• Consult with management on Front-End Development program performance; conduct assessments to determine measures required to enhance program performance and overall company performance
• Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create strategic design recommendations
• Execute creative concepts that are on strategy across a variety of platforms (digital, social, mobile)
• Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned projects

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Typically 3+, years of experience working in front-end development or related roles
• Strong understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates in
• Strong knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
• Demonstrates advanced programming/configuration/analytical skills to achieve business and or technical requirements.
• Able to work independently to resolve discrepancies, defects, incidents or problems with understanding of the business and system impacts.
• Able to identify and exercise appropriate escalation communications.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
• Firm grasp on search engine optimization, Google Analytics and online advertising.
• Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, jquery and JavaScript
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar area of study
