JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily activities of accounting processes. Required to assist in month end processing. Must be adaptable to change, be detail oriented, and be self-directed with a high level of accountability. Must communicate effectively with customers and professional personnel from various entities, maintain confidentiality, and must have a friendly disposition and be personable. Responsible for assisting members and staff with the revenue cycle. This individual is responsible for assisting members who contact the Health Plan with questions on their invoices as well as collecting payments over the telephone, maintaining professional demeanor with all customers, and responsible for posting all incoming payments into the billing system. Part of the team responsible for maintenance of member's premium billing accounts and assists the revenue and finance departments with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.;Processes payments, credits, debits and adjustments.;Works with financial transactions and related documentation within the organization.;Facilitates the resolution of customer problems, issues, or concerns.;

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Associates degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. Position includes customer setup, posting payments, entering banking/ACH payment information, member communications, delinquency letters, and other transaction processing. Basic understanding of accounting principles and systems. 3 years of experience. Knowledge of customer service principles.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a two year degree in the study of accounting is preferred or similar experience with Accounts Receivable.
