JOB SUMMARY

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with departmental associates and management. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Demonstrates a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools. Demonstrates the ability to speak, write and present clearly. Delivers formal and informal stand-up presentations or demos to audiences of all kinds. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention. Demonstrates an expectation that there will be ongoing shifts in demands and priorities. Demonstrates the ability to respond to change. Describes opportunities for taking initiative in the organization. Demonstrates an ability to meet own responsibilities.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Our intern will be learn and perform basic administrative, preventative maintenance, and first level troubleshooting to video endpoints, video infrastructure, and telemedicine peripherals. The intern will also participate in reviewing and updating documentation, designing user quick tip sheets, performing inventory management, building Knowledge Base articles, and refining existing processes. Our intern will also participate in various team relevant projects which may include Room System Design and Install, Telemedicine projects, and providing real-time support for running audiovisual technologies for live events. Other internship responsibilities include: inventory tracking and management, reviewing and updating system documentation, troubleshooting systems, planning, designing and installing new systems, build Knowledge Base Articles, run A/V for events, assistance with scheduling projects, shipping, receiving, and organizing equipment. The intern will also perform basic configuration and maintenance of video systems. Intern qualifications include the following: interest, knowledge, or experience with audio and video technologies, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and have the ability to work well in a team. Must be detailed oriented, dependable, and a self-starter. Must be able to maintain a positive, and professional attitude with strong customer service skills. Desired backgrounds: audiovisual, computer, or related program of study. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship, ranging from 20-32 hours a week with flexibility to the interns schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
