Job Information

Surround yourself with ingenuity. Bobcat design, prototype and test capabilities are state-of-the-art. In fact, few facilities in the world can match the variety of Bobcat’s prototyping and testing. As a result, most of your work will involve hydraulics, powertrain/engines, structures and cabs/interiors.

Role & Responsibility

• Develop new and modify existing parts using Creo

• Modify and update Engineering drawings

• Prepare Engineering Change Notices and Bill of Materials

• Assist in prototype builds in the Bobcat lab

• Assist with maintenance of Engineering machines

• Participate in Design Reviews

• Interface with all other Bobcat departments to develop solutions to problems

Job Requirement

  • Jr. or Sr. standing in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of drafting software preferred (ProE/Creo preferred or Solid Works)
  • Hands-on experience in farm work, mechanical work, carpentry, or similar area
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Project management skills are preferred
  • Previous co-op experience is a plus
  • Be able to commit to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months)
  • Travel Requirement:
  • Experience Required: 0>2 years
  • Global Breadth: Single Site (One Location)

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
