Position Summary:

The Senior Integration Developer will improve, develop, and maintain the processes that interconnect Alerus' business applications and information systems.



Essential Responsibilities:

Job Function Number 1: Enterprise Application Integration Development - 65%
  • Designs and develops ESB/SOA middleware layers using tools like webMethods, Mulesoft, TIBCO, etc. to facilitate data transfer and interaction between internal and external financial core platforms.
  • Development, documentation, analysis, testing, and/or modification of integration solution/programs based on and related to user or system design specifications.
  • Actively involved with requirement definition and analysis. Work closely with functional leads/PMs to understand the integration requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects.
  • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. Communicate all necessary application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all necessary internal department teams.



Job Function Number 2: Integration Solution Application Support - 35%
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the systems development lifecycle for design and release management.
  • Provide support to others in IT as well as business users to help resolve any application issues.
  • Provide on-call support for application issues after hours and on weekends as required.



Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent combination of experience and training that equips individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all job functions.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with integration platforms and toolsets; software AG webMethods experience required.
  • Middleware design, development, troubleshooting, and testing experience.
  • Strong experience in XML, XSD, XSLT, SOAP/REST and web services.
  • Experience with at least one programming language is required, Java preferred. (e.g. Java, C#, Python).
  • Experience working with SQL Server/SSIS is preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of design patterns.

Physical Demands: (must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation)
  • Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and using office equipment.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours per day.
  • Extended time is spent reviewing physical and electronic documents.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies and materials which weighs in at approximately 50 lbs.
  • Will spend most of time in an indoor environment.
