Job Details

Job Summary: This position requires a professional with a strong background in manufacturing, training, and instructional design. Responsibilities include creating and delivering training material for production technicians working in aviation manufacturing. Training content will cover a wide spectrum of manufacturing processes from aircraft assembly to exterior finish. A variety of techniques will be utilized to define and develop instructional materials while incorporating the latest technology. The applicant must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have great attention to detail. They must also be able to train one-on-one and in a group setting. Candidates should also have experience in instructional design, experience in developing content for a manufacturing setting, and experience with eLearning programs and learning management systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in team environment
  • Must possess the highest level of integrity and have the ability to assess technician workmanship
  • Reliable and independent work ethic and can adapt to changing work requirements
  • Has the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with tested instructional design theories, practices and methods
  • Capable of evaluating learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Effectively collaborates with subject matter experts to create and update training materials
  • Capable of demonstrating procedures and installation techniques to others
  • Strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, then solve issues
  • Learning Management System daily maintenance and problem solving
  • Developing and assigning learning content with the Learning Management System
  • Classroom Instruction and management

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in instructional design preferred; or 2-3 years' experience in a trainer role and an instructional design certificate; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
