The EOC Compliance Specialist monitors and reports Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance for the health system, including inpatient, ambulatory and outlying clinics, according to local, state and federal government guidelines. The Specialist maintains and generates reports from various data sources to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Essential Job Functions

Title and Description

EOC - Compliance

Monitors the progress of Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance utilizing multiple database management systems and reports deficiencies to appropriate leader. Assists in the review, revision, and creation of policies, procedures and processes.

EOC - Info/Documentation

Coordinates with the Manager of Environment of Care or designee to gather and collect required regulatory documentation.

EOC - Reports

Designs and generates reports from various data sources to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

EOC - Standards

Maintains knowledge and interpretation of pertinent laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines for possible implications and recommends appropriate action.

Other Duties

Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

    • All pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • The work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader.
    • The use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
